‘Rain, rain go away, don’t come back another day’, as the kids and I like to sing. Cold but sunny autumn days are the obvious preferred option to keep SAD away. It’s just so dark at the moment isn’t it? We had a 12 hour power cut at the weekend and it needs to be off again tomorrow for 6 hours whilst they do the repairs – so that’s me in the cold and dark, boiling water on the hob to make myself a hot vimto! Thursday is my ‘work’ day whilst the boys are at nursery but I’m going to struggle to be productive. It’s amazing when you think about how much you need electricity to get things done. I’ll have to get out for some exercise instead, only if it’s not bloomin’ raining though!
So onto today’s card – this one has taken a bit of work, but worth it. My old favourite – LOTV – has resurfaced today using the ‘Wish upon a Star‘ stamp. I have used a new card colour, picked up at the GNPE, a lovely dark pink, pearlised of course.
I have also used Memory Box Parker letters and number dies plus another GNPE find – Marianne Design flower dies. Any flower die looks gorgeous, any colour, any style, whatever kind of flower it is intended to be, I think they are very versatile and you can interpret them any way you like. This one is a Poinsettia but it hasn’t stopped me, I really don’t think it matters.
I have used Promarkers to colour the image and a Sakura glitter pen to enhance. I’ve also used Versamagic Pink Petunia to ink the edges of my circles, number and ribbon. The ribbon is Dovecraft ‘Tea Party’ grosgrain.
I love it and hope Ruby does too!
I would like to enter this card into the Lily of the Valley Monthly Challenge – Anything Goes and
