This is a special request card I made a few weeks ago for a 30th birthday. Now the birthday girl has received her card, I am sharing it with anyone interested! I remember being very hung up on turning thirty, now I’m about to turn forty… Older and wiser hey?!
I decided to go for a criss cross/ crossover style, as it’s a little bit different, and makes a change from a square. I simply join two 8×8 square cards and cut one side of each on the diagonal to make the blank. I like the way you can decorate the inside and have a little bit peeping out!
The cute stamp is LOTV Sprinkled with Sugar and has just been retired but is already out of stock. I’m glad it’s in my stash as it’s a great little stamp. Coloured with Promarkers as always and a sprinkle of Stickle Star Dust sugar.
The flowers are a lovely selection from Wild Orchid Crafts, sprinkled with some of that sugar the mice are using. The leaf die is Spellbinders.
Pretty little caramel satin ribbon that I’ve layered up and added a pearl brad (with the back snapped off!). I know the bow is the wrong way round but it looked better to me like this than straight along the diagonal! The border edge is Tonic Studios.
A Memory Box die is peeping out from inside – Bali Corner with some chocolate liquid pearls added.
The dotty papers are from a First Edition Rose Garden 8×8″ paper pad that I got for an absolute bargain price at a craft fair. The papers in this pad are soooo gorgeous, it would be worth paying full price for this pad. The strawberry paper is from my stash.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
October – Anything Goes – 2nd entry
Passion for Promarkers Challenge Blog – Favourite Colour Combo – Pink & Brown!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you like the card.
Have a lovely evening,
I am a Promarker Passionista! Top 5 out of 43, thank you ladies!
