Would desperately like to blog tonight but for the last few days I have been starting to have some trouble with the switch from one antidepressant to another (SNRI to SSRI) and it is beginning to wear me out. I am getting some bothersome withdrawal symptoms from my latest reduction of the SNRI which is leaving me a bit ragged at the edges, shall we say. I have been on dual antidepressant drug therapy since my latest mental crash three months ago but that was never intended to be long term, so commenced cross-tapering about 3 weeks ago. That’s up with one and down with the other! I won’t go into it now, I really should dedicate a post solely to switching antidepressants because it is notoriously difficult. I’ll do some research and come back to it when I’m not so drained.
I would like to share a card I made last week, as a thank you for a friend who generously sponsored me for my PANDA Sahara Trek. It was a request for her father in law’s 65th birthday with the only specification being that he loves cars.
The stamp is LOTV ‘Toot Toot’ which I adore. I have recently been inspired by Gretha Bakker (design team member at LOTV – AMAZING creations!) to try Twinkling H2O’s. They are exactly as the name suggests – a watercolour paint that has a little twinkle! I’ve tried it out on the car – ok it’s not great, I know! But I did enjoy the practice, and it is a lovely medium to work with. The rest of the stamp is coloured with my Promarkers and the edges of the paper and card is distressed with Tea Dye.
I picked the metal corners up at the Great British Craft Festival and I love the look they add to the card.
The letters and numbers are die-cut from Crafters Companion Die’sire Alphabet dies.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
As You Like It Challenge – Favourite Die & Why – the alphabet dies I’ve used here because I love the swirly script style and they can find their way onto a LOT of my cards!
Thanks for stopping by,
