I’ve got thirty minutes before I need to head out of the door to a four year old’s birthday party with our eldest. I’m hoping for a chance of a sit down, a hot drink and a slice of cake but better not hold my breath! More like rambunctious pre-schoolers, decibel levels louder than legal limits and keeping watch for any uncouth behaviour from my sweet little poppet.
I am sharing a card I made for my gorgeous little niece with a new stamp addition to my stash – Bella’s Party by Wild Rose Studio. Actually this was an second hand ebay bargain at £1.70.
I adored colouring this little sweetie, a nice therapeutic hour of peace and Bella was brought to life. I was aiming for nice and bright, so used two different Papermania textured card colours – the pink and the pale duck egg colour, and teamed up some yellow dotty and the Papermania Honey & Hugs flowery paper matted on top.
Spellbinders Floral Ovals adds the decorative element, with a small Lacey Circle die used behind the sentiment. Adorable pink velvet ribbon added some texture, whilst Star Dust Stickles provided the sparkle. The hat pom pom was filled with Frosted Lace, which is non-glittery.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge 320 – Paws/animals – I had to google it, to check what elephant’s feet were called, seems they are just feet! But they do have pads on them that act as shock absorbers. Plus I learned that they actually walk on tip toes! Who knew?? Well not me at least! Lots of elephant facts at Africa Wildlife Detective. So I’m entering under the ‘animal’ banner!
Penny Black & More May Challenge – Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge #56 – Always Anything Goes
Okay so didn’t manage to post before the party, and unfortunately there was some behaviour requiring a mortified apology from me, but I did have a cup of tea and a biscuit, so it’s not all bad.
