Annie’s Christmas Wreath

Thank Crunchie it’s Friday! A quick post this afternoon just to share a card I managed to put together after the boys went to bed last night.

Annie with Wreath Card

I have used the sketch provided at Polkadoodles and Studio 12 to enter their challenge for week 48.

I just had to omit the three circles at the bottom as I couldn’t figure out the logistics (who says card-making isn’t like rocket science)! The image is one of four stamps I won recently from the Sugar Nellie challenge blog – the Sugar Bowl, it’s called ‘Annie with Wreath‘ – isn’t she gorgeous? In the end I used traditional colours but I do fancy having another go with non-traditional. Annie is coloured with Promarkers, Stickled with Xmas Red and Star Dust, the holly leaves get their shine with Glossy Accents and I finished with a pompom on her hat. The paper was a magazine freebie last year I think.

The red tape is from Wilkinson’s Christmas range, and the red velvet ric rac has been in my stash for ages, itching to be used. The sentiment is from the LOTV Christmas Circular Sentiments embossed with Papermania Tinsel Red powder.

She’s not a masterpiece but I love her all the same and she was fun to do!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

  1. Oh I do love Annie, this is a gorgeous card! Your comment made me smile earlier – I bet I wouldn’t have noticed your little ‘adaptation’ otherwise ;o) Hugs, Lisa x

  2. What a gorgeous card you have made here. It fits our challenge this week well of “Christmas sentiment”. Thanks for taking part and good luck. Best wishes, Kym (Bearly Mine Challenge Blog Design Team)
